MUMBAI: Whipclip, the video clip sharing start-up company, announced on 26 March the launch of its free mobile application. The mobile app will allow fans to legally create their own music videos and video clips of popular TV shows, and share the clips instantly on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Pinterest and via email and SMS.
For the same, Whipclip has associated itself with major music companies such as Universal Music Group and Sony Music, along with television networks. This will allow Whipclip users to clip live TV as well as search for specific moments within music videos and share them with friends, enabling them to discover music and television in a new way.
Speaking on the launch, Whipclip, Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO, Richard Rosenblatt said, “The days of awkwardly holding your phone up to the TV to record and share your favorite moments may be coming to an end. Whipclip enables users to find and create their favorite TV and music clips and share them intimately with their closest friends or broadly across their entire social network. Not only benefitting the users but also providing the content owners with a viral user driven method to find new audiences.”
