MUMBAI: Unmanageable crowd, poor sound management and delayed start are the three things that any organiser would not want at his/her concert. However, these three elements were witnessed at the concert of the film ‘Ek Villain’. The jam packed auditorium of the High Street Phoenix Mall, in Mumbai actually went berserk waiting for more than an hour for the concert to start.
There was no trace of the actors, singers and composers of the film who were expected to perform at the venue. Shraddha Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh, Ankit Tiwari, Mithoon and Mohammed Irfan were scheduled to start their performance at 7 pm. Fever FM’s RJ Glen left no stone unturned to keep the audiences entertained as he kept interacting with the crowd.
Finally at 8.10 pm, after half of the press left, singer and composer, Ankit Tiwari appeared on stage. Dressed in black and white, Tiwari mesmerised the audiences with his super hit number, ‘Galliyan’ and almost set the mood for the evening.

Next was the turn of, ‘Tum Hi Ho’ composer Mithoon and the ‘Banjara’ singer Mohammed Irfan. Mithoon looked unwell and sounded irritated as the crew was yet to sort the issues with sound check. And by this time the crowd again had again lost their patience, however he apologized for the inconvenience. While this was happening, one of the fans from the audience, shouted, “Mithoon I Love You,” to which the generally shy composer replied, “I love you too.” After waiting for about seven to eight minutes the duo, Mithoon and Irfan performed a couple of songs, i.e. ‘Banjara and ‘Zaroorat’.
The concert concluded with the performance of the lead actress Shraddha Kapoor who sung the unplugged version of the song, ‘Galliyan’.
This gig was set-up to promote the film romantic-thriller film ‘Ek Villain’ directed by Mohit Suri. The film stars Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles and Riteish Deshmukh making his debut as an antagonist with this film. ‘Ek Villain’ soundtrack has six songs.
