MUMBAI: A series of tweets by 40 year old singing star, Sonu Nigam during the wee hours confused and surprised his legion of fans as the singer did not seem tired of exchanging tweets with his admirers and well wishers.
The incident started when Nigam wished ‘good luck’ to the beautiful actress Manjari Phadnis, for the film ‘Warning’, on Twitter. To the delight of his fans the singer kept on interacting with the fans for a long time. Manjari on her twitter page posted the song ‘Taakeedee’ sung byNigam, following the video release that took place on 17 September.
Tweeting away, Sonu also mentioned about his brief meeting at an award ceremony with the Mangeshkar clan i.e. Lata, Usha and Meena. Tough the absence of Asha Bhosale pinched him. These updates from the singer made everyone (including us) curious and wondering that what kept Sonu awake? Applying a little journalistic skills, we probed.
A birdie chirped,” Sonu’s schedule is extremely tight as he will be travelling to Hong Kong for a concert on 1 October. He will also be travelling to US, Canada and West Indies.”
Our featured friend went on: “Sonu will be singing for films like ‘Super Super’, ‘Anniversary’ and ‘Singh Sahab the Great,’ directed by Anil Sharma starring Sunny Deol and Amrita Rao and Prakash Raj, who bagged glories from the negative roles like Gunny Bhai in Wanted and Jaykant Shikre in the film Singham.”
With the knowledge that Mr Nigam’s schedule will be packed for the coming months, we can only wish him good luck for his upcoming films and concerts. All the best Sonu!!
