2009 formed Engine-Earz Experiment performed in India for the first-time for LIVE Viacom18’s VDOT EMERGE. Multi-instrumentalist/DJ/producer Prash Mistry along with DJ ASA went across India for a multi-city tour.
Mistry who previously worked on studio productions with artistes such as Grammy award-winning jazz bassist- John Benitez, Roots Manuva, Foreign Beggars and Aloe Blacc, disclosed his collaboration with Func from Shaa’ir and Func.

How has it been coming to India?
It is great to come to India again, as it is one of my favourite places. I have a natural connection.
Tell us more about your India plans
Engine-Earz is a live band so we enjoy playing. The India trip was more about collaborating as a music producer with DJ Asa and Pavan from Foreign Beggars. We are working together on a studio and will be touring together as well. We have not done this kind of a project before, so this is very exciting.
Which is the one music genre that you would like to experiment with?
I am a little proud in that context as I have been able to work with a variety of genres. Someday, I would like to do something more Brazilian in nature. I would like do little Indian music in the coming time and expand a lot more in electronic music. Anything that is revolutionary in nature or has a message is something I would like to try.
What inspires you?
Music rewards you with the buzz it creates and the effect on people inspires me. It transcends way beyond words. You have to believe in yourself, you have to be stronger. There is strength in music that inspires people.
Tell us about your upcoming projects?
I am working on a debut album that would be out very soon. There is another album that is a bunch of artistes’ production. We are collaborating with Func for his EP. There will many more such collaborations and projects.
What you like so much about Func?
The guy makes nice music. He grew up in Goa, so the influence of that space is prominent in his music. He was surrounded with music. His work with Shaair and Func is great, and he has travelled a lot across cities like Berlin, London and so forth. He has been in India a lot as well, so the music he creates has variety. He understands western music and dance music. It is really rare.
Which would be your dream venue?
I saw Micheal Jackson when I was nine at the Wembley Stadium. So, I would like to do something there. That venue is up there on my list.
There is also this big festival called Exit in Serbia which has this fortress and people can play there, it is a huge platform. There is another in Iceland, maybe at some of the pyramids and South America would make good venues.
