Warner Records to release five international albums in Jan

MUMBAI: Record giant Warner Music will be releasing five international albums featuring Sean Paul, The Doors, Skrillex,  Lamb of God and Opeth in the month of January.

Sean Paul’s most anticipated pop album â€?Tomahawk Technique’ will be the year’s first release under the records. The album will anchor Sean’s recent smash singles, â€?Got 2 Luv U’ featuring Alexis Jordan and She Doesn’t Mind. The album will also feature production from industry heavyweights like Benny Blanco (Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Wiz Khalifa, Ke$ha), Rico Love (Natasha Bedingfield, Nelly, Diddy, Usher) and Stargate (Rihanna, Ne-Yo, Chris Brown).

Second in line, is the 60’s rock band â€?The Doors’ who will be celebrating groups’ 40th anniversary with the launch of 1971 final album â€?L.A. Woman’. The 2cd pack will feature the bands re-mastered rock album and previously unreleased alternate version of the song like â€?She Smells So Nice’. The pack will also include signature hits like L.A. Woman, Love Her Madly and Riders on the Storm.

Lamb of God will unveil punk-rock album â€?Resolution’ – the follow-up of the band’s Grammy nominated album Wrath. The album will be comprised of 14 songs recorded in Virginia and New York studios.

The Swedish metal band Opeth will also release their 10th studio album â€?Heritage’. The album will feature tracks like Heritage, The Devil’s Orchard, I Feel the Dark, Slither, Nepenthe and many more. Promoting their album, the metal band will also perform a live gig on 15 February in Bangalore.

The line-up also includes the launch of electronica album Bangarang (EP) produced by the world’s popular dub-step DJ Skrillex. The album includes electronica music tracks such as Right In, Bangarang (feat. Sirah), Breakin’ a Sweat (Skrillex & The Doors), The Devil’s Den (Skrillex & Wolfgang Gartner), Right On Time (Skrillex, 12th Planet & Kill The Noise), Kyoto (feat. Sirah) and Summit (feat. Ellie Goulding). Skrillex has received five nominations for the 2012 Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist and has also been nominated for the BBC’s sound if 2011 music poll.
