MUMBAI: With the escalating popularity of smartphone apps, Vodafone India has unveiled its first mobile app store â€?VStore.’
The â€?VStore’ features more than 10,000 free and paid apps for mobile operating systems such as Java, Android, BlackBerry and Symbian. The apps from all the popular genres such as games, entertainment and social networking can be accessed via GPRS-enabled handsets.
VStore also includes wide range of content from providers like Hungama, India Games and Nazara, Spice.
Vodafone subscribers can enable the Vstore through SMS or by visiting Vodafone Live Homepage. The app store is powered by white-label content provider, Appia and is available for 2G and 3G users. Other major telecom operators to provide an app store in India include Airtel and RCom.
