MUMBAI: After airing Golden Globe and Grammy Awards, Vh1 India is back this season with ‘The Brit Awards 2012’. The awards will be telcast on 26 April at 8 pm.
Adele won the coveted ‘British Album of the Year’ and ‘British Female Solo Artist’, while Ed Sheeran won ‘British Male Solo Aritst’ and ‘Best Breakthrough Act’ titles. Other big winners of the night included Rihanna, Coldplay and Foo Fighters.
The night witnessed performances by Coldplay, Florence + The Machine, Bruno Mars and Rihanna. The awards culminated in a performance by ‘Outstanding Contribution to Music’ winners Blur, who played a medley of their hits. Brit awards also paid video tributes to the late Amy Winehouse and Whitney Houston. The best of current and international music will be celebrated in the attendance of numerous music legends.
