MUMBAI: While fans are still digesting the grand promotional song Tareefan of the movie, Veere Di Wedding, the producer of Veere Di Wedding, Rhea Kapoor gave a glimpse of the new song from the much-awaited film on her social media handle. The song Bhangra Ta Sajda is the quintessential party number and would definitely be the top number for all playlists curated for wedding festivities.
The lyrics are certainly highlighted of the song. The traditional “Boliyan”, couplets sung widely in Punjab during pre and during the weddings celebrations is seamlessly fused with some uber cool English words that fit like a glove. The song strikes a chord with the listener from the word ‘go’ and is definitely not an assembly line product of Punjabi wedding songs. What makes it even more special is the star cast dancing their hearts out in the most glamorous set up and vibrant costumes. Although the video might look as if it is shot at the gig fat Sonam Kapoor-Anand Ahuja wedding, it is certainly a treat for viewers and listeners. A bonafide #desiswag creation, the song spells Punjabi vibe, in bold letters.
In the post by the producer shows Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Shikha Talsania, and Swara Bhasker twirling in their colourful lehengas and reads “The Veeres twirl like they own the world and dance like no one’s watching” and it’s not your regular bhangra, quite literally!
