MUMBAI: UTV has quelled what it describes as malicious rumours that the music of their latest comedy caper, Thank You, was alleged to have not been promoted well by T-Series which has the film’s music rights due to late delivery of the master tapes by UTV…. Siddharth Roy Kapur, in a company release, has said, The music of Thank You has been very well received by T Series, and we are quite satisfied with the response….
Kapur says, We have had a long and fruitful relationship with T-Series. The reports about any acrimony between us are completely baseless and mischievous, and is a move to sabotage our film. Some vested interests are trying to create a misunderstanding I want to make it clear that we have (shared) and will always share a very warm business relationship with T-Series, and all payments of Thank You have been received….
Ajay Kapoor, director of T-Series, also emphasized the cordial relationship that the music giant has shared for long with UTV. We are very happy with UTV,… Kapoor says. Two years ago, T-Series had acquired the rights of as many as 20 films from UTV alone. This shows how much we trust each other. In the case of Thank You, the tapes were delivered on time, and the total payment is also made. The music of Thank You is doing very well….
