MUMBAI: Enthralling music enthusiasts with his soothing voice across the globe, renowned Qawwali and Sufi singer Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is all set to perform live extravaganza in US.
Commencing from 14 April, the renowned singer will stage a 10-city ‘Live in Concert Tour’, which will kick-start in Fort Lauderdale and cumulate on 2 June in Atlantic City. The South Asian musician will perform at musical hubs of US like New York, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Atlantic City, Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Bay Area (San Francisco), Fort Lauderdale and Raleigh
The concert will feature Khan’s popular chartbusters from bollywood movies like Paap, Kalyug, Om Shanti Om, Namaste London, Singh Is Kinng, My Name Is Khan, Ishqiya , Badmaash Company, I Hate Luv Storys, Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, We Are Family, Dabangg, Anjaana Anjaani, Ready, Bodyguard, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Mausam and more.

For the first time, the maestro will also perform at ‘The King of Sufi and Bollywood’ concert to be held on 17 March at Auckland in New Zealand. The show organized by Aariya Entertainment will feature the musical journey of the artistes along with his popular Sufi and bollywood tracks.
Recently, the Sufi singer also headlined an act at the 10 day festival of ‘The du World Music Festival’ held on 7 March in Dubai.
Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was born in 1974 in Faisalabad, Punjab into a family of traditional musicians and is the nephew of the late Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Being primarily known as Qawwali singer, he also performs ghazals and other soft music. His first performance was with his uncle in UK (1985).He has toured extensively and performed in America, Pakistan, India, United Kingdom and all around the world. In 2010, he won ‘Best International Act’ title at the UK Asian Music Awards (UK AMAs).
