Universal brings back pop group ABBA

MUMBAI: Universal Music Enterprises will release limited run of studio albums by famous pop group â€?ABBA’ through its â€?Back to Black’ vinyl campaign.

The catalogue will include albums like Ring Ring, Waterloo, ABBA, Arrival, ABBA – The Album, Voulez-Vous, Super Trouper and The Visitors. Each release will also include a digital voucher for an MP3 version.

The Swedish pop group â€?ABBA’ has been a major influence on musicians around the world, and remains one of the most successful acts of all time. ABBA entered pop world with their debut album Ring Ring featuring Benny Andersson, Bjorn Ulvaeus, Agnetha Faltskog and Frida â€?Anni-Frid’ Lyngstad.

ABBA has sold over 370 million albums around the world with their â€?Gold’ greatest hits collection selling over 28 million copies. The musical Mamma Mia has gone on to be the world’s No. 1 show with more productions playing simultaneously around the globe than any other musical. From their first hit single â€?Waterloo’ in 1974.
