MUMBAI : Unitea is returning to Imagine Music Festival for the event’s 2023 edition and expanding the Imagine Genesis Key program – an interactive, fan-engagement program that allows attendees to collect digital tokens relating to the festival and the artists playing this year’s event. Unitea, which is a music-oriented engage-to-earn social media platform that allows fans to earn digital tokens and exchange them for blockchain-authenticated, artist-focused rewards and experiences, introduced the Imagine Genesis Keys at Imagine Music Festival 2022, where attendees could scan a QR code or their wristband to claim and collect stage-coordinated digital collectibles.
This year, Untiea is offering on-site prizes and upgrades for those who collect or have already collected the digital Imagine Genesis Keys, available now to be claimed through the Unitea app and on-site at the festival (September 14 – 16). There are four Keys in the set, with each one – Oceana, Disco Inferno, Amazonia, and Aeria – corresponding to different stages at Imagine Music Festival, and they can be redeemed by interacting and engaging with any artist from the Imagine 2023 lineup.
Each Key will unlock a merch award for the first 500 people who claim them, and the chance to win experiences such as platinum ticket upgrades, backstage tours, and more TBA. Once you collect all four Keys, you’ll be entered to win the Ultimate Imagine Upgrade which includes: VIP camping upgrade, pre-party passes, artist meetups, a custom Imagine Merch bundle, side stage viewing and pit experiences, and the opportunity be featured in the Imagine Music Festival 2023 after movie.

To collect the Keys, attendees can make ‘Vibes’ – a ‘Reels’ type of interface that allows users to create and edit video clips, soundtracked by audio from an extensive musical catalog – with music from various artists at the festival, as well as stream and follow those artists, to collect ‘Karma.’ Once enough Karma has been earned, they can then trade it in to collect a digital Key.
For attendees who collected any Imagine Genesis Keys at last year’s festival, those digital collectibles are already pre-loaded in their Unitea wallet and will count towards the four total they can collect this year. Attendees simply need to download the Unitea app and the Key will appear automatically in their Unitea wallet, located in their user profile (for those who already have the app, make sure it is fully updated).
Unitea will be sending out additional information to key holders before the festival, and will also have a booth on-site where attendees can learn more about cashing in on their Unitea x Imagine Genesis Key Perks.
Unitea’s upcoming activation at Imagine Music Festival follows a series of artist and festival rewards that fans could claim in app. Past rewards include exclusive artist experiences like a studio tour meetup with Mersiv, a private sound check meetup with NGHTMRE, a bundle of Illenium’s signature jerseys, and a tequila tasting with John Summit aboard Groove Cruise.
