MUMBAI: Bristolian producer, Addison Groove who is regarded as a footwork initiator, will travel to India from 23-25 March 2017, after Vh1 Supersonic 2015. Addison Groove’s impact on the UK music scene has been colossal and he has been credited with introducing footwork into the larger vocabulary of UK bass music.
Widely regarded as one of the most innovative producers on this side of the Atlantic, Addison Groove travels to India for a three-city tour as part of Wild City’s Various Artists series.
Various Artists is a series that hopes to introduce to Indian audiences some of modern music’s most imaginative and original DJs and producers. Addison Groove follows his peer and fellow Hyperdub artist, Scratcha in the series. Addison Groove will travel to Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai.

In 2010, Addison Groove was introduced to the world through ‘Footcrab’, a bass music anthem of massive proportions that bridged dubstep’s mid-tempo shuffle and footwork’s fast-paced rhythms. Taking inspiration from Chicago ghettotech and juke scenes, Addison Groove introduced the Chicago club sound and footwork to a broader audience, not just in the UK but also around the world.
Continuing to flawlessly meld different genres and sounds, Addison Groove’s latest release is the cheeky, Afrobeat-inspired ‘Changa’, a certified stomper already with rotations on radio.

He will be performing in Delhi on 23 March at Social (Defence Colony), and the supporting act will be by UP7T. On 24 March, he will be flying to Bengaluru; performing at Church Street Social with the support of _RHL, and lastly, is in association with Krunk, he will be coming to the city of dreams, Mumbai on 25 March at Summer House Café with the support of Oceantied.
