MUMBAI: ‘Tum Tak’, the first song from music maestro AR Rahman’s next venture ‘Raanjhanaa’ that was unveiled earlier this week has been much appreciated for its soothing music.
The innocent teenage romance of Dhanush-Sonam Kapoor has captivated the heart of the
aficionados. Famed singer Javed Ali and Keerthi Sagathia have rendered the track comprising of lyrics penned by Irshad Kamil.
Ali-Rahman association has been for more than six years including films like Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Rockstar, Raavan, Delhi-6, Jodhaa Akbar, Yuvvraaj, Ghajini and many more.
“Every time I work with Rahman-ji I feel it is for the first time as it is a great experience. I learn a lot around him. The track ‘Tum Tak’ is rhythmic in words. The track has an intoxicating feel and I hope people appreciate our efforts,” Ali told Radioandmusic.com.
Over his long association of concerts and films with Rahman he said, “Rahman-ji amd my combination works well for us. He has this magic in his music and the world knows that. ”
The film staring Dhanush, Sonam Kapoor and Abhay Deol and produced by Eros International, is set to release on 21 June.
Furthermore, Ali has rendered two Tamil tracks for Bharat Bala’s Maryan that is also with Rahman. The talented singer is hopeful that many of his tracks will be out this year with music composers including Pritam, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and Amit Trivedi.
