MUMBAI: SulaFest turns a year older and on the occasion of completing a decade, the festival organisers announced the plans of extending its celebration to three days. The Festival will be held in February on 3rd, 4th and 5th on its home-turf in Nashik.
The inception of SulaFest occurred as a one-day festival, gradually extending the event to a two-day extravaganza few years ago. If the last edition’s turnout of 12,000 attendees wasn’t impressive enough, VP – Marketing and Global Brand Ambassador of Sula Vineyards, Cecilia Oldne informed the extension into three days would result into a bigger turnout and the readily available space at Sula Vineyards can accommodate the same. “Last edition, we had the biggest turnout of our history with 12,000 attendees. We expect around 16,000 music lovers to turn up for the next edition, and with the expansion of camping area and necessary arrangements, SulaFest will yet again execute a successful event,” said Oldne.

On the music front, SulaFest made an impression as one of the few festivals to incorporate a mix of the lesser-known international artistes and commercially popular Indian acts. “The international acts that performed at SulaFest have huge fanbase in their respective countries. The commercial Indian acts bring the excitement, while the international acts provide the freshness to the entire mix of the line-up,” added Oldne.
Oldne emphasised on how the tenth year would focus on “returning to the community.” Oldne said, “Apart from being a brand that is cool, savvy and recognised as a gourmet music festival, there’s another side to the brand that believes in giving back to the society.” Oldne elaborated that training to the farmers, teaching sustainable agricultural practices and implementing water harvesting and drip irrigation would be some of the ways on how SulaFest will contribute towards the community.
The extension into three-day would not be the only new welcoming factor in its tenth edition. “There will be more cuisines, various kinds of beverages and the fun activities that SulaFest has been globally popular for,” assured the VP.
