Techzone plans to invest Rs 30 crores for product expansion

MUMBAI: Chennai-based mobile VAS company Techzone, is planning to invest Rs 30 crores in product expansion, including its domain into music platforms, content generation and gaming service business.

Confirming the development to Radioandmusic.com Techzone director Naveen Bhandari said, We are investing RS 30 crores for the next two years on music industry which includes bollywood and international pop, and on technology platform for gaming and content delivery….

In February the company had signed up an agreement with Universal and Sony Music for content in international and domestic music. Along with Sony music the company has also tied-up with UTV for bollywood music, and on domestic front the company has teamed up with market leaders of the specific regions.

The company plans to invest 10 crore in the gaming business, Naveen Bhandari added, We are already in advance stages of discussions with two major gaming players which should close within 15 days or a month. We are on a perfect roll in gripping the entire content space and looking at future ahead….

The company has a turn over of more than Rs 50 crore, and is expecting a 100 percent growth in the current fiscal through the tie-ups.

Techzone has been active in the mobile VAS industry for over a decade and has been associated with all the leading mobile service providers in the country.
