MUMBAI: Country-pop artist Taylor Swift is all set to co-host the Grammy nominations this year to be telecast live on 5 December from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.
The 22 year-old star will share the stage with rapper-actor LL Cool J to announce the nominees in some major categories. The one- hour telecast will also feature performances by country artist Luke Bryan and pop-rockers Maroon 5.
Her inclusion to the event is part of the Grammy organization’s celebration of country music this year, moving the nominations concert from Los Angeles to Nashville, home to the Grand Ole Opry and dozens of recording studios that have spawned artists such as Swift, Carrie Underwood and Lady Antebellum.

Swift, who is already the recipient of six Grammys, is currently on a touring blitz to promote her latest album, ‘Red’, and has become an awards show favorite, most recently premiering her new single at the MTV Video Music Awards in September.
Organizers began televising the nominations in a live show five years ago in a bid to boost TV viewership for the annual Grammy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles in February. This year, 39.9 mn viewers tuned in to see British singer Adele sweep the awards with six major wins.
The Grammy nominations concert telecast will air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on December and nominees in numerous categories will be unveiled during the broadcast for the 55th annual Grammy Awards, taking place on 10 February 2013.
