Taylor Swift puts on a performance for one at Boston Children’s Hospital

MUMBAI: Pop superstar Taylor Swift is accustomed to performing for thousands of screaming fans. However, her most recent live performance was reserved for only one, little lucky person. On Sunday, the ‘You Belong With Me’ singer paid the Boston Children’s Hospital a surprise visit, where she put on a special show for a six year old boy.

The 24 year old singer met with Jordan Nickerson, and played her 2012 hit ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ for the boy. About a fortnight ago, Jordan was diagnosed with Leukaemia, and also suffers from a rare genetic disorder called Williams Syndrome, which is known to cause developmental and physical disabilities.

In a Facebook post, Jordan is seen accompanying Swift while she serenades him with a guitar. The country, rock/ pop singer later joined her young fan for a game of air hockey.

According to reports, it was Swift’s decision to spend time with the children at the Boston hospital. In the past, she has on many occasions made trips to various hospitals and centres to meet and perform for her fans.

Swift will soon be seen in Jeff Bridges’ upcoming film ‘The Giver’, in which she will star alongside Meryl Streep, Katie Holmes and Alexander Skarsgard. She is also currently working with Johan Shellback and Max Martin on her fifth studio album, which is expected to be released later this year.
