T-Series launches music of Hari Puttar

The film that’s ready to court controversy courtesy its title, Hari Puttar, has gone ahead and released its music.

Directed by Rajesh Bajaj and Lucky Kohli, Hari Puttar launched its music on 29 August in the Mumbai suburbs under the T-Series label. The launch saw the presence of composer Aadesh Srivastav, actors Zain Khan, Swini Khara, Neha Bhasin and Mirchi Movies COO Munish Purii.

The music of Hari Puttar has been composed by Aadesh Shrivastav and Guru Sharma. Besides singers like Sukhwinder Singh, Sunidhi Chauhan, Aadesh Shrivastav, Shaan and Neha Bhasin, newcomers like Sameer and Aishwarya, finalists of the last season of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Chote Ustaad have also sung for the movie.

Talking about the music, Shrivastav said, “The music of the movie is very peppy and lively keeping in mind the young audience. As the name suggests, the music has the influence of the Punjabi tunes.”

The soundtrack for Hari Puttar features three songs, lyrics penned by Sameer. The title track of the movie is sung by Shaan, Aadesh and Neha Bhasin. The second track Tutaris has brought in vocals of Sukhwinder Singh and Sunidhi Chauhan. While the third track Hari Puttar is a dude, is sung by Sameer and Aishwariya.

The movie is scheduled to release on 19 September. While the movie is still under production, it has already invited trouble for itself after Warner Bros filed a copyright infringement on the name of the movie.

About the film, Purii said, “It is a 90 minute fun-filled film with four and a half minutes of animation where the two children take the audience for a joy ride. It is a film about two children and the power of presence of mind and how the kids create a lot of hilarious sequences.”

The second hearing of the movie in the Mumbai High Court is scheduled for 2 September. Both the producers and the director are hopeful the verdict would be in their favour.
