MUMBAI: Even as the country grooves to the peppy tunes of Nautanki Saala, the home production of T-Series, the music label also has extensive promotional plans lined up till its release. It has also associated with various TV channels with unique initiatives planned.
The music album which was recently launched witnessed an event filled with antics and fun, living up to the theme and story line of the movie. Taking that forward, the company has now tied up with several TV channels to take the promotions to the next level.
The stars of the film will feature on Zee TV’s show ‘India’s Best Dramebaaz’, Nach baliye Shriman vs Shrimati on Star Plus and ‘Nautanki – The comedy Theatre’ on Colors to participate with the respective characters and present hilarious sequences. The label also undertook several activities on April Fools Day with MTV, titled the ‘Nautanki Day’. The lead stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Kunaal Roy Kapur displayed several nautanki gag shots which ran throughout the day on the channel.

They also did a special activity on Radio Mirchi called Murga, where the two actors called listeners and fooled them with prank calls.
Speaking with Radioandmusic.com, T-Series president marketing and promotions Vinod Bhanushali said, “We have extensive promotional plans in store for this film since it is also our home production. We have associated with many TV channels and their shows, and aim to do a lot on the GEC space.”
The star cast also enthralled audiences with their performances in award functions like Star Guild Awards and MTV VMAI awards, which will be telecast on 7 April.
While plans of a special road trip before the film’s release did not materialize, the music label has other extensive plans in store. Making extensive use of radio as a medium to promote the film, there will be several activations on other stations like Fever FM and Oye FM as well. Oye FM and T-Series have planned an activity to search for the biggest nautankibaaz in Mumbai.
With the soundtrack comprising of a variety of songs like a reinvented version of Dhak Dhak and two songs by rising singer Ayushmann Khurrana, the tracks are already a rage amongst the audiences and have garnered rave reviews from critics as well.
As reported by Radioandmusic.com earlier, the album features 13 tracks and is composed by various composers like Falak Shabir, Mikey McCleary and Rashid Khan amongst others. It features tracks rendered by singers like Neeti Mohan, Ayushmann Khurrana, Geet Sagar, Bruno Carvalo, Saba Azad, Falak Shabir, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Tulsi Kumar and more. Two songs ‘Dhak Dhak’ and ‘So Gaya Ye Jahan’ have been reinvented for the film, with rights being given by Bhushan Kumar.
Commenting on the music album, he added, “The songs have been rendered by different singers so each track has its own charm. It’s a complete package as it has a mix of songs ranging from romantic, fun and item. The music is extraordinary with some great compositions and I am sure it will be a super hit.”
After making his mark as an actor, Ayushmann Khurrana also established himself as a singer by winning awards for his solo song ‘Paani da’ in the recent film Vicky Donor. Composers and film producers now make a beeline for him for possessing that double quality to attract audiences not only through his acting, but his singing skills as well.
“Not all actors can sing, but if someone like Ayushmann Khurrana is doing it then why not. He has a great voice quality that is great to hear so composers do want him to render songs. It does not mean that success or collections of a film are the main reason for it,” Bhanushali commented.
Having a vast repertoire of bollywood film music to its credit, the label has witnessed around 18 years in film marketing before it expanded its footprints into producing its own films and creating profitable ventures through its expertise.
Bhanushali stated, “After doing the marketing for other films for so many years, creating unique plans for the movie was not a challenge as we have the right infrastructure and team with good expertise. Since it is our home production, we are going the extra mile as it is a profitable project for us as well as the others who have acquired certain rights of the film.”
