MUMBAI: After enjoying plaudits from masses and critics alike for projects like 3 idiots and Paa, lyricist cum singer Swanand Kirkire has several projects tucked under his belt for the coming year.
The lyrics- singer is all geared up with projects that include Pradeep Sarkar’s next with Yashraj Films, Sudhir Misra’s next untitled project and is also writing the screenplay for Brahmanand Singh’s film Surmai Shaam. A Vidhu Vinod Chopra project is also in the pipeline. The lyricist has earlier worked with Chopra for his projects like Parineeta, Eklavya and Lage Raho Munnabhai for which he even bagged the National Award.
The lyricist will soon come out with an album with composer Shantanu Moitra. “I have done several projects with Shantanu and the comfort level we share is great. We are still working on the album and details are yet to be finalised.” The album will hit the stands next year in January. “I will also lent my voice for my album,” he adds.

He is also crooning a song for Chandan Arora’s next flick Striker for which he has penned down the lyrics as well. The album is slated to be released in January.
