MUMBAI: Radio industry is all geared up for the eighth edition of Indian Radio Forum to be held on 28 May in Mumbai. The annual forum, organized by Partners in Media Asia (PIM), provides a platform for the radio and advertising fraternity to convene and discuss on advancing the role and increasing the effectiveness of the medium.
Santosh Desai, managing director & CEO, Futurebrands India will commence the day with a keynote address on ‘The Influence of Radio in Emerging India’. Desai will discuss on ways to increase revenue in a highly competitive and ever-changing economic environment.?This year the forum will focus on the effectiveness of the medium and the future of radio with digital.
The speakers list include top-notch private FM players like Radio City CEO Apurva Purohit, Big FM business head Ashwin Padmanabhan, Red FM COO Nisha Narayanan, Radio Mirchi executive director and CEO Prashant Panday and Reliance Broadcast Network CEO Tarun Katial.
Moreover, advertisers will give insights on how radio plays a critical role in meeting new market challenges and the opportunities still present in this digital age. Maxus South Asia managing director Ajit Varghese, Omnicon Media Group CEO Jasmin Sohrabji and Axis Bank CEO Manisha Lath Gupta are the key panelists for the same. ‘Using Radio in Your Media Campaign: The Advertisers’ Perspective is another session that will highlight effective use of the power of radio, and what factors ensured the success of their media campaign.
