MUMBAI: After signing music distribution deals with leading production houses like Eros International and Balaji Motion Pictures, Sony Music has reunited with Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra for the music rights of the biopic ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’.
The soundtrack has been composed by renowned musical trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and penned by Prasoon Joshi. The momentous tracks are stated to reflect the determination, passion and speed of the lead character Milkha Singh.
The album will be released in May and will be available across all media channels for streaming, downloads and physical distribution.

The film marks Sony Music’s second association with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra after the massive success of Rang de Basanti.
“Our journey with Rakeysh began in the year 2005 with Rang De Basanti wherein we worked very closely with his team and created a huge success. Today while we work with him on Bhaag Milkha Bhaag we are all geared up to put in the same passion and energy,” added Subramaniam.
Co-produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is based on the biography of India’s most prominent athlete, Milkha Singh which is played by multi-talented actor Farhan Akhtar in a pivotal role. The film is slated to release on 12 July.
