MUMBAI: Recognizing his contribution in the music industry, Singer Hans Raj Hans has been appointed as a visiting faculty at the Music Department of the Guru Nanak Dev University in Amritsar.
Singer Hans Raj Hans who has crooned various songs ranging from Bollywood to religious said, “I am always interested to do something in the field of teaching. I am teaching Gurmat Sangeet at American universities and Punjabi University, Patiala.”

Speaking about the appointment vice-chancellor, professor Ajaib Singh Brar said, “The singer is one of the eminent personalities to be appointed as visiting professors in order to enhance the knowledge of the students. The contribution of Hans Raj Hans was commendable in the field of music, especially in Sufi.”
The university will also organize a Sufi musical gig on 15 March.
