MUMBAI: A few days after the trailer launch of the upcoming movie ‘Dharam Sankat Mein’, many from the glitterati Bollywood world started tweeting about latest Punjabi song ‘Do you know baby’ which features Sophie Chaudhary and Punjabi singer/ actor Gippy Grewal. The film is produced by Viacom 18 motion pictures, and stars Paresh Rawal, Naseeruddin Shah, and Annu Kapoor.
Grewal, popularly known as the Jatt James Bond in north India after the success of his 2014 released movie Jatt James Bond, said that the track was originally recorded as a single and was not meant to be used in the film. “Coincidently we met with Zee Music Head Anurag Bedi, and he told me that he wanted a Punjabi flavored song for his upcoming movie. I just shared my song with him. After listening to it, he immediately told us that it would be part of his movie,” he added.

The video for ‘Do you Know Baby’ features singer Sophie Chaudhary, along with Grewal who confirmed, “Yes, I am featuring in two songs in this film- ‘Do You Know Baby’ and ‘Jaddoon Mein Nancha’. I also have a small cameo in the film.”

Talking a ‘dharam sankat’ moment in his life, the singer stated, “Yes, I have fallen in a dharam sankat situation in my life, at the time of my marriage. Actually, my wife and I are from different casts, and ours is a love marriage. Our parents were against it initially, but after a lot of talking with parents and relatives, we finally got married.”
The ‘Angreji Beat’ singer recently won the award for Best Actor at the PTC Punjabi Film Awards 2015 for his role in the film ‘Jatt James Bond’. He intends to work with Mika Singh, and will soon be seen making his Bollywood debut with the upcoming film ‘Second Hand Husband’, featuring Dharmendra and Tina Ahuja.
