MUMBAI: After battling out for 13 weeks, it was Shankar Mahadevan’s Rockstars who were crowned the winners of reality show Music Ka Maha Muqqabla on Star Plus.
Pitched against Shaan’s Strikers in the finale, Shankar’s team comprising of Rahul Vaidya, Neeti Mohan, Sharib and Sanjeev stole the thunder, though the ‘Singer of the Day’ trophy was grabbed by Anwesha Dutta from Shaan’s Strikers. Harshit Saxena, Anweshaa Dutta Gupta, Debojit Saha and Shadab Faridi were the members of Shaan’s team.
The grand Finale of the show was telecast Live on Star Plus with live audience voting for the ultimate winner. The winning team won the prize money of Rs 50 lakhs along with a trophy and the runner up team (Shaan) received a cash price of Rs 25 lakhs. The winners award was given to Shankar Mahadevan by Padambhushan winner Ustad Amjad Ali Khan.

Shaan’s Strikers and Shankar’s Rockstars emerged the finalists from among the six teams, led by Shreya Ghosal, Mika, Himmesh Reshammiya and Mohit Chauhan who participated in the competition.
