MUMBAI: Shalmali Kholgade is among the many fans, who are gladly waiting for the finale season of Game of Thrones (Season 8). The singer found a striking way to pay ode to this globally famous series, which will premiere on 14 April 2019, with her unique theme cover.
“Being a big Game of Thrones fan, I wanted to do something for the finale season. I had initially thought of doing an acapella version of the theme with me Ria, Neha, Simran and Pratiksha (my singing partners), but given that the theme is gynomous when it comes to the sound, I felt it needed more people. I therefore thought of making the cover – an activity to bring everyone together,” shares Shalmali.
She further adds, “The people featured in the video include everyone who has sung the theme as well as worked with me be it musicians, singers and people, who have been associated with my band. They are very special to me.”

Shalmali concludes while sharing her excitement of waiting for the finale season, “It’s every fan’s anticipation of what the last season holds in store, hence, I am extremely excited too. I am also sad that we will not have any Game of Thrones season after this one gets over. So, I intend to watch it slowly.”
Well, seeing the visuals of the theme cover, Shalmali’s style of introducing everyone with whom she has worked, was indeed an emotional acknowledgment.
