MUMBAI: Ace singer Shaan has caught everyone’s attention with his amazing dancing skills at Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa- Season 6.
The singer mesmerized the judges with his choreographer Marischa Fernandes in the third week on the dance form Afro/ Krumping. He performed on the title track of the film ‘Singham’ and fetched 28 marks with Karan Johar complimenting him ‘Badtameez’. Ranveer Singh who was on the sets of Jhalak promoting his movie ‘Lootera’ called it as Paisa Vasool performance while Madhuri and Remo were also spell bound by Shaan’s performance.
Shaan had also damaged his eyes due to the act. He tweeted, “Had slightly scratched my left cornea from the lens I used for the Lion Act. Thanks to timely care by Radhika Mukherji danger averted.”

Speaking with Radioandmusic, com, Shaan’s wife Radhika says, “He had to be rushed to the hospital but then his eyes was sealed for a day and now he is doing fine. During the practice for krumping, he had also got bruises as dancing with the harness is a real task.”
In the second week too, Shaan had amazed everyone by scoring a perfect 30 with his choreographer. The singer had performed on Dil Kyun Yeh Mera from Bollywood film Kites and was the first contestant to get ‘Maar Daala’, ‘Badtameez’ and ‘This is Super hit’ from all the three judges.
Radhika says, “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa has made him very disciplined in life. He has been practicing hard every day for his performances. This week he will have show dedicated to his family. It will be quiet good.”
Sonu Nigam tweeted praising Shaan’s performance, “My buddy @singer_shaan is making us proud in Jhalak Dikhla ja. I was shocked 2 c his effortless dancing.”
The versatile singer is dancing and at the same time rendering for many films. “Shaan is practicing alongside singing and in all this family time is compromised,” she complains.
With such positive performance and judges response, Shaan seems to have a long journey. “He is doing a fabulous job and many of the performers on the show are great dancers. But for me and my family the most important thing is his health. The other thing is that to remain in the show for long one needs to receive votes as well,” Radhika informs.
