MUMBAI: SFM which launched its 45th station in Pune recently, plans to incorporate entertainment ingrained with social messages in its programming in the cultural capital of Maharashtra.
Without sermonizing, characters like Dadu Hallya and Bhola are conceived to tickle the funny bone even as they talk about issues and problems pertaining to the common man. SFM also plans to raise these issues in “exclusives” – listeners can recognise their favourite songs, but can also detect the social message hidden within. Shows like Mollywood Tamasha have been included, that give a musical twist to superhit music, claims the station.
Hilarious takes on unforgettable lines in Bollywood numbers have been incorporated in Kavi ki Kalpana and Dialogue Ki Dhulai, and the station has done away with four hour blocks of programming, bringing in single and dual hour shows instead.
At a primary level the station is about non- stop super hit music which is audience tested high energy music, claim SFM officials.
As part of the mainstream Hit radio format, SFM will also focus on the latest Bollywood releases, star interviews, fashion, entertainment and lifestyle relevant content, and local music.
