MUMBAI: Sun TV Network’s SFM launched in Pune on Tuesday, marking the entry of the last of its FM stations in Maharashtra.
Radio Mirchi, Radio City and Radio One are already operational in the city. SFM would play a mix of Hindi and Marathi music. The station plans to create awareness through a press conference, outdoor hoardings, print and television ads. Another way of making its impact felt in Pune, would be gifting gold and silver coins to listeners, who would tune in to SFM and participate in the various contests.
After the launch of its Pune station, SFM now heading East with launches slated in Siliguri, Aizawl and Gangtok.
SFM is already operational in Chennai, Coimbatore, Tirunelveli, Visakhapatnam, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Bhubaneswar, Tirupati, Madurai, Tuticorin, Lucknow, Bhopal, Pondicherry, Kozhikode, Indore, Vijayawada, Varanasi, Tiruchy, Rajahmundry, Kanpur, Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, Mangalore, Kannur, Allahabad, Jabalpur, Mysore, Guwahati, Jamshedpur, Nasik, Vadodara, Rajkot, Aurangabad, Ahmedabad, Warangal, Nagpur and Kochi.
