MUMBAI: Selena Gomez’s stalker Che Cruz was taken under arrest on Sunday and charged with breaking and entering into the star’s guesthouse at her newly purchased $3 Million mansion in Calabasas, California.
According to the prosecutors, at a court appearance 2 April, Cruz (20) admitted to the trespassing charged filed against him, and was immediately sentenced to 45 days in jail. He was also granted a probation period of 3 years and has been ordered to maintain distance from Gomez.
The Los Angeles police reportedly said Cruz was arrested after Gomez heard a noise at her home on Sunday night and called security.
Seems like the ‘Come and get it’ star had someone come a-knocking on her door, only to see her friend answer instead. When he asked for Gomez, the friend slammed the door shut. The security guards later found him in the guest house and held him until the police arrived.
Interestingly, the property in discussion is the same one she recently purchased to move in to with her on-and-off ‘toxic’ boyfriend Justin Bieber. The 7,200 square feet mansion is in exact location of Justin Bieber’s previous abode, which he had to move out of, post having a falling out with some of his neighbors.
Sources say Selena also consulted with Bieber before purchasing the house, and the couple agreed in the one in Calabasas. Bieber is reportedly considering it. As of now, Gomez will have to make do with the time she gets with him when he is in town.
