MUMBAI : Saregama launched renowned flautist Paras Nath’s debut instrumental album ‘Eternal Winds World Fusion’ on 29 May in Mumbai.
The launched witnessed a performance by Nath who played few tracks from the album. Present at the occasion were Roop Kumar Rathod, Pt Vishwamohan Bhatt, Richa Sharma, Leslie Lewis, Salim-Sulaiman, Niladri Kumar, Harshdeep Kaur, Jaswinder Singh, Kuldeep Singh amongst others.
The album is an amalgamation of Indian sensibilities and western harmonization. Composed by Nath, the music in the album travels through various genres and his experience of playing the wind instrument across the world, along with his intricate knowledge of Hindustani classical music.
Saregama India business head – music Adarsh Gupta said, “World Fusion is indeed a musical treat, a delight for listeners with an eclectic mix of tracks influenced by sufi traditions and ragas with an inherent creativity of jazz. Paras has immense talent which he has aptly displayed with fusion of various genres of music in this album.”
Apart from being a world renowned musician, Nath is also a well known artist in Bollywood Music Industry. He has played for musical geniuses like Gulzar Saab, Bhupinder Mitali, Vishal-Shekhar, Salim-Sulaiman, Leslie Lewis, Shantanu Moitra amongst others. He was also the part of Pakistan’s Coke Studio Season – 4 and has represented India in many music festivals abroad including Berlin music Festival in Germany and Arle festival in Paris. He has composed music and led 1200 Sitarists in a historical stage performance in New Delhi which has been recorded in Guinness World Record.
