MUMBAI: Paying musical tribute to Bollywood’s first superstar Rajesh Khanna, Saregama has launched a compiled album “Zindagi Kaisi Hai Paheli” enlisting his popular tracks.
The 2-CD pack comprises of 15 songs each of which includes tracks like Zindagi Ek Safar Hai Suhana, EK Ajnabee Haseena Se, Humen Tumse Pyar Kitna, O Mere Dil Ke Chain, Zindagi Kaisi Hai Paheli and more. The pack includes track crooned by Rajesh Khanna, Manna Dey, Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Mohd. Rafi, Laxmikant Pyarelal, Shankar Jaikishan, Kalyanji-Anandji, RD Burman and SD Burman.
Speaking about the album with Radioandmusic.com Saregama business head Adarsh Gupta said, “Since the entire catalogue of Rajesh Khanna is with Saregama, it is appropriate for us to salute the legend with the collection of his chartbuster.”
The album has been titled ‘Zindagi Kaisi Hai Paheli’ considering its philosophical message delivered to his fans across the world through 1971 movie Anand.
