MUMBAI: The New York Festivals International Advertising Awards has announced the first round of executive jury appointments for 2013. Santosh Padhi, Taproot India co-founder and chief creative officer will be on the jury panel this year.
This is the third year that NYF will assemble a ‘dream team’, an elite group of worldwide creative officers brought together to select the World’s Best Advertising. The additional executive jury appointments will be announced at a later stage.
Apart from Padhi, the first round of jury appointments comprises of Shalmor Avnon Amichay Y&R Tel Aviv, Israel former partner and chief creative officer Gideon Amichay, Kymechow Communications China CEO Chris Kyme, Publicis Brazil COO and chief creative officer Hugo Rodrigues, Serviceplan Group Germany partner and global chief creative officer Alexander Schill and Young & Rubicam UAE chief creative officer Shahir Zag.

The NYF Executive Jury will convene from 27 April to 1 May in New York City, concluding with the New York Show awards presentation on 2 May 2013. The jury will evaluate every shortlisted entry selected by the online grand jury, comprised of over 400 international executive creative directors. The shortlists are generated from the first two rounds of judging and the executive jury will select ads from the shortlist during five additional rounds of judging. In 2012, more than 330,000 votes were cast throughout the process.
The call for entries is open and the last date for submission is 27 January 2013.
New York Festivals International Advertising Awards receives entries from 70 countries, recognizing work in categories like avant-garde, branded entertainment, radio, creative marketing effectiveness, design, digital, direct & collateral, film, integrated, outdoor, print, public & media relations, public service announcements and student.
The fest will host the 2013 celebration of the World’s Best Advertising with The New York Show, a two-day series of creative events held in New York City. It will feature the executive jury press conference, keynote speakers, creative panel discussions, networking events and exhibits of the shortlisted work.
