MUMBAI: Sanjay Hemady, who quit as Hit FM CEO last year, has returned to helm the organisation from Monday.
Hemady had been with the Delhi based FM radio station for over nine years, when he decided to take a break. Hemady confirmed to www.radioandmusic.com that he has re-joined Hit FM on Monday. After Hemady stepped down, he was replaced by another veteran from the radio industry, Abraham Thomas, who had a short stint with the station before leaving it to join Radio City as CEO in November 2015.
Hemady has been actively involved in the Indian radio industry for over a decade. He was earlier associated with Mumbai based FM radio station Win 94.6, promoted by Millenium Broadcast, which downed shutters in 2004. Win was set up by another radio veteran Gautam Radia, who is also behind the venture that founded Hit FM. Hit FM was the first private FM radio station in Delhi which played international music, but changed the format last January to turn to Bollywood music.
