MUMBAI: Commemorating the 152nd birth anniversary of India’s first Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore and celebrating Bharat Bhawna Divas, an initiative of Sahara India Pariwar, 1,21,653 workers of Sahara in Lucknow created a new world record for ‘Most number of people singing National Anthem simultaneously at a single location’.
The workers gathered at 10am to sing the National Anthem ‘Jana Gana Mana’ together at the Ramabai Sthal at Lucknow in one uniform. Over
The record was earlier held by Pakistan where 42,813 people sang the national anthem at one place in a group.
As per reports, Sahara Group chairman Subrata Roy, while addressing the gathering at a stadium in Lucknow, expressed his delight as his company’s attempt to create a new world record. He stated that he espoused a philosophy of ‘collective materialism’ and according to Sahara’s website; the group shares its profits between staff, its internal fund and social development activities and has never declared a dividend.
Apart from that, the Sahara Group also attempted the record of over one million of its employees singing in one uniform at the same time at 4,512 of their offices spread across India. The male workers of Sahara were wearing a uniform of white shirt, black pants and black ties, while the women sported red saris to celebrate its annual Bharat Bhawna Divas through this feat.
The magnificence of the spectacle was covered by 22 HD Cameras and Helicam. The Bharat Bhawna Diwas was also celebrated across various schools, colleges and institutions across India and by Soldier Citizens. Countrymen across the nation also stood up for the National Anthem. Even schools, colleges, institutions and people have also uploaded their videos on YouTube wherein they are celebrating Bharata Bhawna Diwas.
