MUMBAI: Music streaming services Saavn joined hands with wireless Hifi system Sonos this Diwali. Through the integration, Saavn will empower its listeners with Hifi sound.
Currently, this service is available in beta. Saavn Pro subscribers can use the services on the wireless speaker system seamlessly.
Saavn users can listen to its content across Sonos smart speakers and home audio products. Sonos customers can use smartphone, tablet or computer to enjoy Saavn’s catalogue. Sonos customers can select and add music services from the main menu on the Sonos controller apps for various portable devices.

“We listen to our users just as intently as they listen to us,” Saavn CEO and co-founder Rishi Malhotra said.
He further added, “The decision to launch on the Sonos platform was a direct response to overwhelming requests from our users, and Sonos is one of the finest products in the world. It is the perfect integration for us as we continue to push the boundaries of music streaming with the best partners.”
Apart from Sonos, yet another highlight of the company was the deal with telecom operator Aircel to deliver data-free music listening in the mornings.
Last year, Saavn merged its catalogue into Shazam’s song recognition database. The company has also launched a music-based data package deal with operators like Tata Docomo, Airtel and Vodafone, to provide carrier billing for Saavn pro on android.
