1. Richa Chadha on Putting Her Guard Down in Love: “Ali makes me enjoy being a woman.”

Richa opens up about the early days of meeting Ali Fazal while filming Fukrey, recalling how their bond began over effortless conversation. “Ali and I were friends before we started dating and this is literally from one of your films, ‘pyaar dosti hai’ (love is friendship),” she tells Karan. Reflecting on how love has changed her, she adds, “I have no shame in saying this. Ali makes me enjoy being a woman. His presence in my life has softened me so much. My guard has come down. My level of rage has come down. It has taken time, but that’s how it is… you look back and you’ll be like, hey, I was so angry before I met you and now I’m laughing at the things that I used to get angry about.”
2. Ali Fazal on How He Sought Approval from Richa’s Father: Well, I was sitting in a car outside her building… and I finally mustered up the courage to tell her dad. And that was the weirdest because I called uncle and I said, listen, uncle… I want to marry her.”
As Ali and Richa share more about their love story right from how they met to their marriage, Karan compliments them on their equation and asks if it was easy when they met each other’s parents. Ali reminisces, “Well, I was sitting in a car outside her building and I finally mustered up the courage to tell her dad. And that was the weirdest because I called uncle and I said, listen, uncle, I was being very brave and I said, I want to marry her.” He adds, “I think that conversation was just forever. And at the end of it, uncle’s like, “Beta, yeh baatein aise nahi karte aap aaiye ghar pe miliye.” (“Son. You shouldn’t talk about marriage like this. You should come at our home and talk to us.”) And I was like, sh*t, man, like I just did this whole bold phone call from the car and all and asking her hand in marriage.”
3. Masaba Gupta on On Second Chances and Finding Love After Her Divorce: “…I think very naturally it progressed into, oh, you know, do you want to move in together? Um, do you want to give this a shot in a deeper way? But it was never a serious discussion. It just happened.”
Talking about how she was confident about her husband and that this second marriage would last, Masaba says, “I gave it some more time. I think the first one, I was so blown away by the idea that, oh my God, there’s this grown-up man who wants to marry me and take care of me. And all my friends were getting married. I was 26 when I got married the first time. So, I just lapped it up. Yaar, so you know this time what I did was I just said… let’s give this time, let’s really get to know this person.” Fortunately for her, COVID struck when they were 6-7 months into the relationship and they were stuck in a house in Goa. “And I think that’s when we really got to know each other because it was amazing, to be honest, because we were sharing responsibilities of the house. We were cooking, we were cleaning, we were doing the dishes and I was doing my work calls. And it was extremely hard for me that period and he was there, he was like a rock. So, I think that just cemented the fact that okay this is who we are in the worst of situations. And I think that’s what you really need to know. You need to know what the person is like at their worst, not when they’re at their best because they are amazing. We continued to be in lockdown together for about 8 months straight, literally, we were just together in each other’s face 24 – 7. It was great. And then when we came back, I think very naturally it progressed into, oh, you know, do you want to move in together? Um, do you want to give this a shot in a deeper way? But it was never a serious discussion. It just happened.”
4. Mithila Palkar on Finding her Biryani Monster: “Even I am trying to find love in my life.”
As Karan opens up about looking for the love of his life and ask Dhruv and Mithila about their romantic partners, Mithila says, “No, no, I am in the same boat so don’t worry. Even I am trying to find love in my life.” Dhruv then goes on to share about his love story and how he met his significant other, “It’s very weird when I started speaking to her, the first time in fact, I had a feeling that I’m gonna end up with her. I liked her confidence, I liked the way she was dressed and I liked the way she was just talking to me very directly. And there were of course various signs along the way…When I ate the food that was prepared in her house, it tasted exactly like the kind of food that is prepared at my house. So, of course, I had a feeling that there’s something there. And I used to tell her and she used to always rubbish the claim because we were always dating other people at that time. But yeah, here we are.”
5. Mithila Palkar on Deal-Breakers: “Lying is the biggest red flag. I can’t stand it”
For Mithila Palkar, nothing kills the vibe faster than a lie! She gets candid about red flags, self-awareness, why authenticity is everything in a relationship and says, “Inauthenticity and dishonesty in general are big red flags. I feel like it was very important for me to find myself and have a sense of self and know who I am and then I figured that I will then definitely know what I want from a partner. So, I feel like if you’re able to be yourself entirely then that is definitely the green flag that I look for and then the red flag is exactly the opposite of that. That you’re not, you’re inauthentic, you’re not yourself. You’re, like, lying is the biggest red flag. I can’t stand it.”
