BANGALORE: Reliance Retail Limited’s books, music, stationery, toys and gifts format store Reliance Timeout in association with Penguin Books will hold a book reading of A R Rahman’s unofficial biography – A. R. Rahaman: The Musical Storm, by author Kamini Mathai in Bangalore this Friday, January 15, 2009. The event will be held at the Reliance Timeout outlet in Bangalore at 6.30 pm.
This is the second reading of the book – the first one took place a few days ago at the Reliance Timeout Kochi outlet. These initiatives are meant to create awareness about the book according to sources in the industry. Reportedly, the book has primarily been compiled by Mathai, a journalist, after interacting with quite a few friends, family members, industry insiders and Rahman. As of now, Reliance Retail has seven Reliance Timeout outlets in India. Reliance Retail is a 100 percent subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited.
