Red FM west prog head quits

MUMBAI: Punit Sheth, Red FM programming head west has put his papers and would be serving his notice period till May 10

Sheth says he is poised to take a sabbatical from radio and would be joining a Mumbai based production house outsourcing format shows to television as a group creative head  I had an itching for television and wanted to step out of radio. But radio being my first love, I would get back to the medium after a gap of two-three years….

Sheth has been associated with Red FM for the past five years, starting as a copy writer and gradually climbing up the ladder to head programming for seven stations in the west region. From joining as a copywriter, I went into client solutions and was the creative solution head in 2007. Further, I was the programming head for Red FM Delhi and currently am handling programming for seven stations in Gujarat and Maharashtra….

Talking about his experience at Red FM, Sheth states, Red FM has been a roller coaster ride starting off from a 2000 sq.ft office at Nariman point. Over the year, the station has redefined entertainment and has created a brand for itself attracting advertisers.

Red FM is in the process of identifying professionals from other media sectors to replace Sheth.
