MUMBAI: Red FM has announced Bhubaneshwar’s singer Sudip Das as winner of its multi talent reality hunt competition ‘93.5 Seconds to Fame: Ab Har Second Keemti Hai’ held in Orissa.
The hunt was divided in three categories – singing, dancing, and comedy and featured contestants from 15 plus age group. The hunt was aimed at promoting talents across the state and provide opportunity to them.
The grand finale held on 14 July named Das as the winner of talent hunt and he was awarded with cash prize of Rs 50000 and exclusive music contract from Sarthak Music. Dancer Aakash Das and singer Jyoti Botra earned the title of first and second runner up with Rs 30000 and Rs 20000 cash prize respectively. The winners were also gifted with gold rings, silver coins, Sony PS2 headphones and special prizes from Indian oil and Vodafone. Dancer Aakash Das was also rewarded exclusive television contract from Sarthak Television.
The finale was graced by the guest of honour, the Tourism and Culture Minister of Orissa Prafulla Samal.
The station shortlisted top 60 participants for the quarter finals which were held in Cuttack followed by selection of top 16 Semi finalists and top 12 finalists in Bhubaneshwar. The auditions conducted across Bhubaneswar, Berhampur, Balasore and Cuttak gave participants a time limit of 93.5 seconds to showcase their talent.
