MUMBAI: Singing reality show star Abhilasha Chellam is all set to start her career as a playback singer with Marathi film ‘Dambari’.
Chellam will sing a duet with popular Marathi singer Anand Shinde. “It’s through her hard work and melodious voice that she has reached this level,” says the team of Dambari.
The singer, who is born and brought up in Pune, is taking classes in Carnatic and Hindustani classical music. She has participated in singing reality shows such as Saregamapa Marathi (2010), Saregamapa Singing Superstars (2011) and Amul Star Voice of India and can render in multiple languages including Tamil, Malayalam, Telagu, Kannada, Marathi, Hindi, Punjabi and Bengali.
