MUMBAI: Actor-singer Arnav Maggo delivers a standout performance as Saransh, a passionate college vocalist, in the high-energy musical drama Hai Junoon, now streaming on the OTT platform (Jio Hotstar). Sharing screen space with renowned actor Neil Nitin Mukesh, Arnav brings real-life musical depth and natural charisma to the role, making Saransh an authentic and memorable character.
With a solid background as a trained musician and actor, Arnav seamlessly blends performance and emotion, adding soul to the series’ rich musical landscape.
Arnav plays Saransh, a singer in Supersonics — a musical group at Anderson’s College — where Neil Nitin Mukesh portrays the mentor. Arnav is thrilled about this part, as it gave him the unique opportunity to portray a singer — a role that aligns with his real-life identity. His real-world experience in music helped him ace the audition.
“Saransh’s journey mirrored my own — a singer chasing his dream,” says Arnav. “It felt like I was telling my own story on screen,” he says.

Arnav Maggo, who grew up in Delhi, studied in New York, and currently divides his time between Dubai, Delhi, and Mumbai, made his acting debut in Neeraj Pandey’s The Freelancer, where his performance received significant acclaim. He also played the lead in Lakshmi Iyer’s short film Aloo Bhujia for Royal Stag’s Barrel Select Shorts, produced by Gul Panag, which garnered attention on the film festival circuit.
Hai Junoon marks the OTT debut of Jacqueline Fernandez. When asked about how the experience was working with her, Arnav shared, “We don’t have scenes together in the show, but I’m a fan of hers. She is extremely sweet — we met during the promotional events of Hai Junoon.”
The series centers around the fierce rivalry between The Misfits and The Super Sonics as they compete for the prestigious GOATs trophy at Anderson College in Mumbai. Featuring forty original songs woven into the narrative, the show — directed by Abhishek Sharma — highlights its musical core while exploring themes of ambition, competition, self-discovery, and the pursuit of excellence.
