MUMBAI: After a number of international collaborations, acclaimed group Rhythm Dhol Bass (RDB) has added Grammy award-winning American Hip-hop star T-Pain to its list.
Titled ‘Daddy da Cash’, the sounds of UK Urban-Bhangra and American Hip-Hop came together in spectacular style in Mumbai, as two giants of the musical world – RDB brothers Surj and Manj and T-Pain – performed the single exclusively at the first ever Indian MTV Video Music Awards.
Speaking about the new single, RDB said, “’Daddy da Cash’ is a Punjabi party anthem made for people to enjoy and have a good time. The idea, concept and melody were put forth by our late brother Kuly Singh; we just improvised it and added an international touch with the help of T-Pain.”

Speaking about the collaboration with the Grammy award-winning T-pain, RDB said, “We are lucky to collaborate with such great artists and are looking forward to many more associations. It provides new opportunities and a globalised perspective to our music and helps us to experiment with our music further more.” RDB has earlier collaborated with International artistes like Snoop Dogg, Ludacris and Public Enemy. They have rendered tracks in Shera Di Kaum, Singh is Kinng, Kambakkht Ishq and Aloo Chaat.
Now, the latest addition to the RDB repertoire is T-Pain, whose long list of hits includes ‘Buy U A Drink’ and ‘5 ‘O Clock’ with British pop star Lilly Allen.
Speaking about the collaboration, T-Pain said, “RDB are the coolest Indian guys and it was great working with them. I was looking forward to this collaboration and it was great performing for Indian fans. I have performed in India before, so I was excited to do it all over again.”
