MUMBAI: VH1 and Rayban will jointly present their third endeavour of the Rayban VH1 Global Music Xpress featuring live performances by Los Angeles based band, Goldspot in select cities across India this month.
The band, a classic mix of Bollywood, the US west coast and British guitar pop is led by singer/songwriter Siddhartha Khosla, along with drummer Ramy Antoun and has been hailed as “the best band to come out of America in years”
Goldspot has done the soundtrack for the popular motion picture ‘The President Is Coming.’ Their songs ‘Rewind’ and ‘Friday’ have been used in various soundtracks of hit shows like The O.C., Gossip Girls, etc. An alternate version of “Tally” was released commercially in June 2007 featuring A R Rahman’s Bollywood Orchestra, and was received with accolades from the UK press like Q magazine and The Guardian. The band has also played at the Glastonbury, O2 Wireless, and V Festivals throughout the summer of 2007 and performed in India at the One Tree Festival in February 2008. Goldspot also received a nomination for Vh1 India’s “Favorite Indian Artist” award in 2008.

He also says that as Goldspot is an immensely popular international band with India roots, bringing them home for a 4-city tour will be a treat for Indian audiences.
Goldspot will be performing live at Hard Rock Caf?©, Mumbai on February 18 followed by performances at Hard Rock, Pune on February 20, Bottles and Chimney, Hyderabad on February 21 and Hard Rock Caf?©, Bangalore on February 22.
