MUMBAI: Ranveer Singh, the most energetic, vibrant, a person who can’t sit at a place when danceable music is on, not surprisingly has love for musical theatre.
He always indulges in watching musicals while travelling to European capitals. Currently, in London, Ranveer has watched three musicals. He has watched ‘Thriller’ on Sunday and ‘School of Rock’ and ‘Alladin’ on Monday.
As musicals theatres are a common interest for both Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ranveer, he always encourages his mentor and filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali to take one of their films on to the Broadway stage.

Ranveer has often told Sanjay Bhansali that both ‘Ram Leela’ and ‘Bajirao Mastani’ can be taken on to the Broadway stage with emotional stories and loads of colour, drama and singing- dancing in the narrative. Bhansali made lasting impact among theatre aficionados with the musical version of ‘Padmavati’ a few years back. Both are very fond of watching musicals, so maybe someday, one of their lavish, successful films will also become a musical onstage.
