MUMBAI: Music maestro AR Rahman has denied reports of Katrina Kaif lending her voice for Yash Chopra’s directorial comeback.
As reported by Radioandmusic.com earlier, Kaif was to render a romantic number composed by Rahman and penned by Gulzar. But according to recent reports, Rahman says, “No, there are no plans of making Katrina sing.”
Gulzar and Rahman last collaborated for the song ‘Jai Ho’ in Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire. This is for the first time when Chopra has signed Rahman for his directorial venture under YRF banner.
Last year Kaif had made her debut in singing with a charity album of nursery rhymes composed by Rahman. Earlier, she had also received offer from Ali Zafar to sing with him for his private album.
Besides Kaif, the film stars Shahrukh Khan and Anushka Sharma.
