MUMBAI: In the current times,a 100 million views on YouTube/VEVO for a non-film music video for an original song was never thought to be possible. The maestro Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has just achieved 100 million views for his song ‘Zaroori Tha’ on YouTube with leading label Universal Music.
The song ‘Zaroori Tha’ is a love ballad and the music video was directed by Rahul Sud. The video featured the then-real life couple Gauhar Khan and Kushal Tandon and their heart-wrenching love story.
While speaking on this significant occurrence, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan says, “I am overwhelmed and humbled to have reached this landmark! 100 million views for a non-film song video is incredible and full credit to Universal Music India who made this possible with their sustained efforts.
