MUMBAI: After performing for the Queen of England herself, indie-folk band ‘The Raghu Dixit Project’ will perform an opening act for ‘TED Global 2012 Conference’ on 26 June in Edinburgh, Scotland.
The band, led by renowned indie-folk artiste Raghu Dixit, will perform as part of Critical Crossroads session. The group will put forth musical presentation of 18 minutes and will also collaborate with Scottish Dewarist band at the ‘Dewars After Party’, which will be held after the conference.
‘The Raghu Dixit project’ will also present a gig at the music fest Solas Festival which will commence from 22-24 June 2012 in South Lanarkshire, Scotland. As part of its summer tour in UK, the group is scheduled to perform at the Larmer Tree Festival and the Cambridge Folk Festival. The band will also play a concert at the Birmingham Town Hall on 13 June in UK.
