MUMBAI: Radio Mirchi was honoured with the best radio station award, while Pritam went home with the Most Successful Album award for Love Aaj Kal at the Ficci 2010 Excellence Awards held on Thursday evening.
Among the film awards, both Amitabh Bachchan and Vidya Balan won the Best Actor award for Balki’s film on progeria, Paa.
Like A R Rahman, Shah Rukh Khan too received the Global Icon of the Year award. While Ranbir Kapoor won the Entertainer of the year award. The best film and Best Director Award went to the 2009 box office success 3 Idiots.
The event was marked by live performances by Neelesh Misra’s band Nine, followed by an acoustic set by composer Pritam Chakraborty.
The awards were the final event of the three day extravaganza – Ficci Frames 2010, and saw the conglomeration of the best minds in the media and entertainment industry in Mumbai.
